Opening Celebration Weekend
2 – 4 July 2021
There will be lots happening over the opening weekend of our celebrations – with a special service to mark the laying of the Foundation stone on Friday evening, a Parish Eucharist with Richard, Bishop of Bedford on Sunday 4 July plus a Festival Choral Evensong and, throughout the weekend, an historical exhibition with costumes and floral displays depicting the life and times of the people of St Andrew’s over the last century. Add in a children’s entertainer, refreshments and an ice-cream van, and you will see that it’s an event not to be missed.
Current social distancing requirements will of course be observed and therefore places at services will be need to be booked in advance via Eventbrite (or the Church Office) and face coverings must be worn in the church buildings. The number of visitors passing through the Exhibition will also be limited, so we would ask for your understanding if you have to wait for admission.
