Our Services this Sunday – 25 October

Our 10.00am Parish Eucharist this Sunday will be on our YouTube channel only. The Revd David Powell will preside and preach.

On Sunday afternoon we will welcome those bereaved in the past year to a Service of Thanksgiving for their departed loved ones. With the current space requirements attendance at this service is by invitation and is not open to the wider congregation – we hope you will understand why we have had to take this approach. There will however be a Holy Communion service on Monday 2 November to commemorate All Souls, which you will be welcome to attend – you will be able to book a place on Eventbrite nearer the date. If you would like the names of your departed loved ones to be added to the list of names read out at the All Souls service, please let the Church Office know.

On Sunday evening the Revd Duncan Goldthorpe will lead Evening Prayer on Zoom from the Chapel. Joining details for Zoom will be included in the Thursday email update to our mailing list. If you are not currently on this list and would like to be added, please contact the Church Office.

Our Services this Sunday – 18 October

This Sunday we are celebrating St Luke the Evangelist. The 10.00am Parish Eucharist will take place in the church and, if you would like to be here in person, places may be reserved via Eventbrite. The Revd Duncan Goldthorpe will be presiding and Dr Diana Stretton will preach. This service will also be live streamed on the St Andrew’s YouTube channel. Links for both Eventbrite and YouTube will be included in the Thursday update email – if you don’t currently receive this and wish to be added to our list, please contact the Church Office.

After the morning service at 11.30am our Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) will take place on Zoom. Joining details will be shared in the weekly update email.

On Sunday evening, at 6.00pm, the Revd Belinda Searle-Barnes will lead the service of Evening Prayer. This will be on YouTube only.

Our next Vicar…have your say

Work has now begun on compiling our Parish Profile, an important step in the process of finding our next Vicar. A small group, based on the existing Mission Action Planning Committee, is co-ordinating this, but they would like your help. If you would like to join in with small group discussions on Sunday 11 October after the morning service (either in person or via Zoom) or on the evening of Wednesday 14 October (7.45pm on Zoom), please contact the Church Office to sign up. You can also respond to the consultation in writing – a copy of the questionnaire can be found on the home page of this website – please ensure your input is sent to the Church Office before Sunday 18 October. We look forward to receiving your contributions. Thank you.
