As our partnership with World Vision wrapped up at the end of 2025, we wanted to take a moment to look back at what we actually achieved together as a church. It’s easy to talk about 'making a difference', but the community at St Andrews put that into action in a very practical way for the people of Pajule, Uganda.
In total, our church raised in the region of £20,000 to support World Vision’s work. Here is the breakdown of the impact that money had on the ground:
Real Results in Healthcare
By funding 16 health camps, we were able to provide essential medical care that resulted in zero deaths from preventable illnesses among Registered Children in the region. That is a life-saving statistic that we should all be incredibly proud of.
Practical School Upgrades
We also focused on modernising local learning centres to give students a better environment to study in. This included:
The construction of 5 stance latrines (toilets) to improve hygiene and sanitation.
Providing proper desks for classrooms.
Supplying books and literacy materials for the students.
A Quiet Legacy
Altogether, this support has directly impacted the lives of over 300 children and their families.
While this specific chapter of our mission and outreach has concluded, the work we did together has left a permanent mark on Pajule. To everyone who donated, prayed, or helped out—thank you for being part of this.
