Curate Joseph Barnes is the new chair of the Mission and Outreach Team.
Joseph was unanimously welcomed to the role at the committee’s September meeting and, as his first official duty, he presented the outgoing chair Angela Huddart with a thank you bouquet at the Harvest Festival lunch on September 24.
In marking the change at the helm Joseph said: “I would like to thank Angela for her many years of devoted service, especially her enthusiasm and committed leadership.
“I'm delighted to become the chair of Mission and Outreach, I am passionate about God's justice and his call on us to serve our neighbours as a church family. I'm especially looking forward to getting to know individuals from our Mission and Outreach Partners and learning even more about the amazing work of Emmaus Village Carlton, Trussel Trust and World Vision and how we can continue to support them and learn from them.”
