Our New National Mission Partner: Home for Good

vicar29

We're thrilled to announce that as a church we have recently begun supporting Home for Good, a remarkable charity dedicated to finding loving homes for children in the care system. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter in our church's commitment to making a difference in our community and beyond.

Home for Good has recently merged with Safe Families, another organisation committed to supporting vulnerable children and families. While we're still learning about the full impact of this merger, we're optimistic about the enhanced capabilities and reach this union will bring to those in need.

Upcoming Events

We're delighted to share that Imogen from Home for Good will be joining us on Sunday, 18th May. This visit presents a wonderful opportunity for us as a congregation to learn more about the charity's vital work and how we can contribute to their mission.

Following Imogen's visit, we'll be hosting an evening event where we can delve deeper into the subject of fostering and adoption. This gathering will allow us to explore how we, as a church community, can best support and engage with Home for Good's initiatives. We also anticipate that it will be an opportunity for other churches to come along and hear more as well as the wider community.

Our Commitment

At St Andrew's, we're committed to supporting Home for Good in various ways, including:

  • Financial support as one of our three connected charities

  • Ongoing prayer for their work and the children they serve

  • Learning from their expertise to better serve our community

  • Raising awareness about fostering and adoption

We believe this partnership will not only allow us to support a worthy cause but also enrich our own understanding and capacity to care for those in need.

As we embark on this journey with Home for Good, we invite you to join us in supporting their mission. Whether through prayer, attendance at our upcoming events, or exploring ways to get involved, your participation can make a real difference in the lives of children in the care system.

Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming events and ways you can contribute to this meaningful partnership. If you have any questions, do reach out to Rebecca Stockman at rebecca@justrestock.com who will be happy to share more.
